Read on to see how others have found the Film Geelong experience.

Russell Boyd - Locations Manager 'Ghost Rider' 2005
"Certainly the proximity of Geelong to Melbourne and what Geelong offers film location wise is quite exceptional. It is the same comparison of what the Gold Coast is to Brisbane or Newcastle to Sydney."

Jason Byrne - Producer 'One Minute' 2005
"The Geelong Gaol was the only complete period gaol left in Australia and was an ideal location for the film which will be called 'One Minute'. The Decision to shoot in Geelong was based on the quality of the locations and the ease of access from Melbourne. The reason the Americans are (filming) here at the moment is that it is so easy to deal with Film Melbourne and Film Geelong - they are superb!"

Laura Waters - Producer 'Australian of the Year' 2005
In the show, "the twins come from a South Australian farm and Lara and Little River provided genuine rural scenery close to Melbourne."

Josh Whiteman - Director 'One Minute' 2005
"The storyboards were done six years ago, and when we got here, we looked at each other and thought, it's perfect." (According to Josh, 'One Minute' was due to be shot at Pentridge Prison, but he changed his mind when he visited Geelong and saw the Old Gaol).

Sandra Sdraulig - CEO of Film Victoria 2005
"Film Victoria's proactive discursions with both local and international productions have recently led to us recommending Geelong locations, hosting scouts of the area and introducing these teams to Film Geelong

Russel Boyd - Location Manager, 'Ned Kelly' 2002
'I drove over 40,000 kilometres scouting locations for the film. We needed 65 different locations and really liked Geelong because the You Yangs provided a great backdrop, the ground was relatively dry and we were close to Melbourne's studios'
